- Allow the sharing of relevant information with other professionals involved in your support (with your permission, unless legally required)
4. Risks and Benefits
All healthcare services involve some level of risk. Your allied health professional will explain:
- The purpose and benefits of proposed treatments
- Any known risks, limitations, or possible side effects
- Alternatives to the recommended treatment
It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your condition, medications, or relevant history that may affect your care.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
We handle your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant Health Records Acts. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
6. Children and Clients with Decision-Making Support Needs
Where appropriate, informed consent will be obtained from a legal guardian, carer, or appointed decision-maker for clients under 18 or those with impaired capacity to consent.
